Looking for cool plugins
Hey everyone!
I'm running PT 8 on a PowerMac G5 OSX 10.5.6 with a 003r Factory. I understand I can't use the Waves stuff but what plugins do you guys recommend for additional Reverbs, Compression, EQ, etc?? I've checked the compatibility grids but I'm looking for real "tried and true" advise. Thanks in advance and have a blessed day! |

Re: Looking for cool plugins
Picking plug-ins and mics for someone is like picking a girlfriend for him. It's best he does it himself.
Many plugs have demos. Try them out and buy the ones you like. I like the Massey stuff but you may not.

Re: Looking for cool plugins
Why is it you cant use the waves stuff? I use the Waves plugins. I have Pro tools 8 on Powermac G5 running 10.5.8 with a digi 003r.
I dont use the latest version of waves, but i run the version that will work with my setup which is 7. Chris

Re: Looking for cool plugins
Seriously loving Waves Ren Comp at the moment, Massey CT4 and McDSP CB4 are also favourites.
I personally cannot live without my Massenberg MDW High-Res EQ. Far and away the best EQ plug ever IMHO. The new Waves HEQ looks impressive for $99.

Re: Looking for cool plugins
Thanks everyone for your input. I was looking at the UAD2 systems and they have some pretty impressive bundles. A bit pricey but I've read some great reviews. Oh and RegenerationMix: Thanks! I will look into that version of Waves. Which bundle do you have?
Thanks! |
