I have the Ratoc firewire/USB card in my 9600 (with Sonnet G3/500 processor). I run an OWC firewire drive with the DAM extensions. I half expected the whole thing to blow up. But it all works beautfully. Well past 24 in terms of track count (off the firewire) with lots of edits, but few if any plugs. I do not run digital video on this system (but do on my TiBook/Magma setup). But as a way to extend the life of my 9600 til the end of June, this has been for me an excellent solution.
