Default Getting rid of a metallic twangy sound on electro acoustic

I have a guitar solo done on a Takamine guitar and it's slightly twangy - can that be remedied with EQ? I have pro Tools 11 with the usual EQ plug ins available including channel Strip etc. If you could put a screen shot on it would be useful, please.
