I upgraded from PT 9.0.0 to 9.6.0 . My AudioBox USB quit working on playback, and record of an existing song. I tried every combination possible in the Playback Engine dialog box. I was unable to change the 256 HW Buffer Size.
Error code (-9129) came and went away after the first try. I have sound from other software sources. Regards Robert |

Is the Audiobox the selected audio engine? Have you tried re-installing the Audiobox driver? Did you have a backup plan(like a drive image)? Did you have a specific NEED for updating to 9.0.6?(I found 9.0.3 to be the most stable version of 9).
If the term "drive image" is strange to you, buy Acronis True Image and save a drive image the day after you get things running nicely(thank me later ![]()

The AudioBox is displayed in the Playback Engine dialog box under Setup.
I have an Acronis true image present on a USB drive. I can go back to PT 9.0.0, if an answer can not be found here. When I installed PT 9.0.6 the installation asked me if I wanted to install Avid Audio. Should I have said NO? The fixes in .1 .2 .3 .4 .5 & .6 are as long as your arm. I think it is time to upgrade. Thanks for answering my post, Robert Thursday |

I upgraded from 9.0.0 to 9.0.6, because the help files did not agree with the 9.0.0
version. What I saw on the screen did not resemble the online help file. Using PT 9.0.0 is like working without a manual. |

WOW, thanks guys: reloading the driver did the trick, or it was all the clicking
to select the AudioBox USB again. |
