Default Any thoughts on a new 001 with direct firewire connection

I am getting a Titanium G4 Powerbook and am not about to spend $1200 on a PCI Slot Card Bus from Magma to hook up a 001. anyone have any ideas about if a new 001 will be released that can connect directly to a Powerbook. Hope good news is in the future,
thanks for your help

MC
