Default MIDI loop editing, "pattern style"?

When I edit looping MIDI drums would expect to work like this:
  1. Create (or import) a basic MIDI part for example 1 bar
  2. Set a number of loops, for example 8 bars, to be able to listen to the groove in different contexts
  3. Edit the basic MIDI part to improve the groove
  4. As a result, all 8 bars automatically get the same updates

However I try, point 4. fails. I have to manually apply the changes to all 8 bars, or Unloop/Loop the part again. Very unproductive.

I'm a bit of a newbie to PT LE 8, but I've tried reading the manual thouroghly and I haven't found any solution to working with MIDI loops in this kind of "pattern mode". I've also tried to search this forum.

Does anybody have an idea how to work productively in this situation?
