pausing on playback without returning to the top

Pause? We've got 24 track masters that have been dumped into ProTools 6.4 LE. Each reel has been recorded to a single session - the songs within that session are indicated by markers. To listen to/work on a specific song, I click on the marker, and it comes up. My problem is that when I hit 'stop' in the middle of a song, PT atomatically goes back to the top when I hit 'play' again, rather than restarting from the point where I stopped. IS THERE SOME WAY TO STOP AND START BETWEEN MARKERS (WITHOUT ADDING MORE MARKERS)?

We are kind of stuck with the multiple songs in a single session format - we are going to add some miscellaneous tracks to the ProTools sessions in a home studio, and then those will be transferred back to the master reels before mixing at a real studio (Hyperbolic Sound on Maui). Everything is all sync'd up at the moment, so...

Im not sure if this is what you mean but press N, or check Timeline insertion follows playback in the prefrences menu.
