Default Nothing Steinberg works with the new DIGI ASIO driver

Nothing Steinberg works, nuendo, cubase sx nor wavelab. but REASON, Logic, and fuityloops work great. reason with 2ms latency.

I am hoping it has to do with how I have my programs installed. Someone please shed light. I have a dual boot setup with WIN ME and WIN XP. To avoid mix ups I install all my XP programs in c/winxp program files rather than c/program files. Could this different location have to do with the asio problems.

SX and Nuendo do see the driver and even let me "switch" to it. but on playback, the bar scrolls but no sound comes out. the meters dont even light. When I go back to the sblive card, it plays back fine.

Digi could you give me some details as to how the asio installation works, where it places certain files maybe. I get the feeling that its just a misplaced file or something. Otherwise I cant explain why all but the steinberg apps work great. I will say it kind of installs funny. when the installation begins, its real fast and doesnt give me "successful" or "finished" message. it just cuts out.

I have not heard of anybody getting the DIGI ASIO to work with WaveLab 4.0, but I know Nuendo has been ok. If anybody has had a result with WaveLab please let us know.

Wavelab seems to recognise the DigiASIO driver initially, but cannot accept it for some reason (not that 'reason') sorry,... but, i have successfully gotten cubase 5.1 up and running, and on the 128 buffer setting (44.1khz) 3ms latency on a pIII800eb (22 daveC) ... which aint half bad... seems a little unstable at 48khz, but i didnt close cubase after changing the samplerate... so its probably my on fault...

cheers all

No problems with SX. Works fine. Just remember to set it up in VST Inputs.

How about the MIDI ports on DIGI oo1 with the new ASIO? In the read me document DIGI say the new ASIO doesn´t support the MIDI ports. I need the MIDI ports and I am going to run Cubase SX on DIGI 001. Do you have any info about the question about the MIDI ports or anything else. I´m sitting with four PC´s in a school and I will wait until you say it´s working properly.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">None at all. Nuendo works great! The only thing I noticed is that when I try to switch from the buffer setting of 128 to anything else, Windows will lock up . It runs very solid with a 256 buffer and up though . I'm getting more plugins and over all better performance with the DIGI001 rather then my RME ASIO card!

I also am using the ASIO drivers with Nuendo and it works great. I've even tried it in DOLBY PROLOGIC and 5.1 surround and it worked great
