Re: reason/recycle OR kontact/battery
Can't comment on Battery (a friend of mine loves it) but I really love Reason 2 . Reason 1 is great too but Reason 2 is a leap above it. I really love the new modules and being able to import standard audio files as samples is a real godsend. Also, Reason 2 seems to be a little better on CPU than Reason 1 but that could just be a placebo effect and even a modest computer will give you oodles of grunt.
(Sounds a bit like an ad but I swear I don't work for them ). Reason works with the multiple outs on the 001 too.

Re: reason/recycle OR kontact/battery
Hi,
I just ordered kontact. I'm really putting my hopes on it. I think It can be Giga Sampler for Mac users. I can't compare reason/recycle to kontact/battery since they are diffrent programs. Actually, Kontact is a sampler. It's not got Synths unlike Reason. And Recycle lets you create loops (which can be loaded into the Reason Loop player.) Reason.. I have no idae how many pieces of music I've been writting with Reason. It's diffcult to explain Reason 'cause it's a huge program like PT. However, I can say no matter what kind of music you do, Reason can be a really creative tool for you. And, It's been amazingly saving my time. (I don't have to use/run some instruments/programs since I can do what I want to do in Reason. ) By the way, for every Reason users here, I'd really recommend Digital Performer (or Cubase which I('ll)'ve never used) It's got the best rewire support..... I know Refuse is out, but no way I use Reason with Protools LE.... Now DP can even import REX files. Umm... Maybe you should get everything you listed By the way, I swear I don't work for either MOTU or Propellerhaed or NI !! ..But I wonder why Digital Performer can't attract people who's going to buy PTLE. I use PT 'cause it's the industry standard. (and I can use the Mcdsp plug-ins in it.) That's all. Again, If you're going to buy Reason, I'd highly recommend DP for ya, haha. |
