Does Carbon come with a Perpetual Ultimate PT license

Cant find anywhere on avids website that Carbon comes with a Perpetual PT Ultimate license and 1 year support plan och is the Autotune also Perpetual or is it free for the first year? Is the ultimate license also free the first year then turn k to a Subscription or slmething like that or do we keep the Ultimate that come with Carbln as Perpetual Ultimate even if we have a second ultimate with support plan so we would have two ultimate Perpetual licenses?

The Carbon package includes a 1 year subscription to Pro Tools. The subscription to PT included as standard turns into a perpetual license once the subscription ends. You can opt into continuing the subscription if you want to stay current or let it lapse and keep the perpetual license at whatever version is current at the time. I’m not sure if you can switch to renewing the perpetual license. I suspect not.

They are currently running a promo (which you would qualify for) that gives you a perpetual PT Ultimate license. I don’t know whether that’s on top of or in place of the regular subscription license I mentioned above. Someone that’s bought a Carbon unit recently could probably clarify.

Either way, it sounds like you’ll have another license for sale soon. Or you could donate your Ultimate license to me. =P

The free Ultimate deal was originally supposed to end on Sep. 15th. I see Vintage King and Sweetwater are still offering it but I wouldn't drag my feet too long.

idk why they make these things so complicated, confusing if after you let it lapse and you go into the perpetual, if you can even renew it. seems avid is doing everything possible to make perpetual worse and more confusing deals for users, so they can eventually phase it out and say "well no one used it!" yes because you keep making it difficult

It seems like avid has extended the PTUltimate offer as free with carbon until December 31 which sounds great after checking with support so now we all know

Yeah I thought so but wanted to mention the awesome deal and we even went down to 1200 dollars as we wanna give 12 months support plan included, not 10 or 11 months
