Monetize Tutorial Videos

Hello

Does anyone know if it's legal for me to upload a video tutorial of Pro Tools and monetize it for revenue? I see tons of video tutorials of Pro Tools some have ads and some don't. I've read the End User License Agreement for the software and haven't found anything mentioning this is legal or illegal. Help would be appreciated.

Yes its legal as long as you have paid for your PT license.

Keep in mind Avid can change this anytime they want and Fair Use is not something anyone really knows until it goes to court.

Also keep in mind that at anytime Avid can issue a takedown request and if you are talking about Youtube, they will win every time.

HOWEVER, it's not really something you have to worry about. Go make some great tutorials and spread the PT word.
