Default Recording Vocals.. Help Needed asap!

Im just bought the 003 factory and i've been trying to record vocals using an M-Audio Solaris microphone but theres no level showing on the console. What am i doing wrong? can someone give me a step by step thing coz im pretty new to protools. Appreciating you help and cooperation.

Is that a condenser mic? If so, turn on phantom power.

either on the front there is a push button or on the back where you plugged in the XLR mic cable, I think there is a switch for 48 to turn on and off.
