Nudge vs Shift Command
Does anyone know the difference between Nudge and Shift Command. Check out page 223 and 224 of the Pro Tools Reference Guide.
They seem to do the same thing???

Re: Nudge vs Shift Command
I think the difference is that shift works regardles of whether you are in GRID, SLIP, SHUFFLE or SPOT edit mode...

Re: Nudge vs Shift Command
I think that nudge works with the +/- keys on your numeric keypad whereas Shift allows you to type in exactly how far you want to move a region forwards or backwards. You can accomplish the same thing with both methods, but Shift would be faster for large moves, Nudge is a good way to quickly move in small increments. Also, with shift you have to know in advance how far you want to move something.
