basic question
Ok because of my workflow this has never really been an issue, so I never bothered finding out.... but now I wish to know:
1) In some of my sessions when I have a group selected, this links solo as well as mute functions of those tracks in the group; whereas some of my sessions this isn't the case. Is there a setting that enables/disables this function? 2) Is it possible to link record enable on tracks in a group? I know these are noob type questions but actually I've never really needed to know before now. |

Re: basic question
1. When creating a group (ctrl+g) a create group window appears where you can choose the type of gropu ie mix, edit or both. There are also a few checkboxes for linking Solo,Mute and sends.
2. Use Shift or Control to select more than one track. Once you have your selection hold Shift+ALT while clicking record enable to apply to the selected tracks. Tip - many other actions work on selcted tracks when holding Shift+ALT keys like assigning I/O, sends and so on.
