midi chunk list error

I use pt HD3 on powermac G4 PT 5.3.1
I made session with few midi information
after a few times working in it, it gives me the message : Bad data encountered while translating MIDI chunk list. when opening and then it stops. making new session and importing tracks doesn.t work. so I started over again,.. after a while same problem....is there a solution? tnx

This error generally refers to a corrupt session file. Create a New Session and use the File>Import Tracks command to move the data into the new file.

Do you have any backups of the session that open without posting the error?

If so, you can probably transfer the audio tracks from the most recent session file (the one posting the error) and use the older version to transfer the MIDI tracks into a new session.

I don't have an older backup of the session (to bad) I tried to import only the midi or only the audio tracks they both don't work, the only thing I can do is grab audiofiles out of the audio-folder [img]images/icons/confused.gif[/img]

Check your drive - its most prpbable that it is corrupted - I got these kind of midi chucnk errors with a faulty drive
