Mbox-2 came with pro tools le 8, now dvd is cratched what to do?

I purchased an mbox 2 which came with pro tools le 8, but the dvd is scratched now and will not install. On top of that avid's support has giving me enough reason to never purchase a single avid product, i can't find a single support contact form or email.

When did you buy that Mbox 2 ? Did you ever register it ?
Do you have access to the DL's from your account ? You don't need to contact Support if you only want to download the software.

I purchased it about 2 years ago, and didn't register. Under the downloads it doesn't show pro tools le 8 it only shows third party downloads.

well if you didn't register you will not see anything in your account. If you did register you would have seen all your product related downloads in your account.

Also, you do realize that part of the problem you are now facing needs to be taken care off by looking into a mirror right ?

It's all good to say that Avid support has given you enough reasons to never buy an Avid product again if you actually have a valid reason for that. Not even having registered your product and then coming online to moan about it 2 years after the facts complaining that your DVD is scratched ? Common ..... seriously.

That said ... let's try to get you sorted and hopefully you will change your mind on some things.

It's true i did not register, won't bore you with the reasons. I have the mbox and all the box content, what are my options at the moment?

I was just told by one of my colleagues that you will not see the PT8 LE downloads. at this point in your account. We've sort of moved on and you should have registered 2 years ago for that but once you're registered We'll send you a link to download the installers you need
