Eucon 3 - Artist Control not connecting to PT

All week Pro Tools would see the MC Mix and MC Control and then today, after a reboot, it wouldn't. For fun I followed the steps given above and Pro Tools recognized them and connected with no trouble when, previously, it wouldn't work. I don't know how to recreate the problem; I can't find any obvious correlations.

Thank You! This worked for me too. I had to keep the control surface powered on during this procedure.

Anyone running 3.1 don't forget that there is a new firmware update that significantly improves surface detection.

i've got latest firmware (1.3.5). but still pro tools doesn't see the artist control.

This is also happening to me. I just did this: Launch a PT project. In the "Set Up" menu in Protools, open "Peripherals", go to the Ethernet Controllers Tab and Make sure click Enable (Ethernet port one) and at the bottom Check Enable EUCON.

Then with Protools open and EUCON Controller powered on, perform Daniels suggestion in the MAC system preferences for the EUCON (at teh bottom hit "Stop" wait 20 seconds then hit "Start". I have to do this each day I power on. Hopefully its an easy fix for the Avid guys.

BTW the latest firmware is 1.5.2 for Eucontrol 3.1.0

The firmware addresses surface detection between eucontrol and the hardware. The connection to Pro Tools is a separate connection, between eucontrol and the Workstation.

There is no need to enable the Ethernet option in PT peripherals. That is associated with Icon controllers only. You only need to enable Eucon in PT.

I'm on firmware 1.5.2 for my MC-Control, 1.3.5 for my MC-Mix and EuControl 3.1. I lost all my assignments once already and had to reassign with my client waiting. I regularly need to quit PT, stop and start applications in the System Pref EUCON app, restart PT hoping it will work again with my client waiting.

I only have Eucon checked in PT Peripherals.

Should I just roll back to 3.0? I doubt I can roll back the firmware easily. Everything was working perfectly until updating.

Before booting computer, turn on your control surface first.
This seems to work fine.

In past versions I booted the EuCon hardware last.
