2022.9 Bug? - OSX 12.5.1 - Assertion Error any time I shift + click

Anyone else getting this? Newer MacBook M1 Pro. I was the most stable I've been till 2022.9. Any time I shift+Click within my session it throws me an assertion error. Rolled back to 2022.7 as I don't have time to deal with it.

Hi welcome to DUC.

Any time you see an ASSERT error you should google for the error message. Like...

Note double quotes to force an exact "must include" match and site: avid.com qualifier that will find DUC and knowledge-base posts.

So definitely not a problem unique to 2022.9 (it's hit folks recently on prior builds as well). Far too early to guess if this is more frequent in 2022.9. I'll leave you to look though those many past posts when you have time/if this hits you again.

And to maybe to save you some looking, get you focused on just checking for possibly corrupt sessions I'll link to my previous comments about these asserts.

It’s definitely a new bug. I haven’t seen this error in years and upon installing 2022.9 today, it kept happening on new and old sessions. I restarted the app and the Mac and same thing. I too had to revert to 2022.7 and the same sessions that gave the error, no longer does it. Another issue for me is Serato Pitch N Time plug-in now crashes pro tools everytime it’s launched and I use this plug-in daily

Serato PnT works in 2022.9. Be sure to download and install the latest version.

I have the latest version 3.02. What I did notice is it works on my m1 MacBook Pro but not on my intel Mac mini. Both are running the same osx versions. But the assertion error is happening on both machines when selecting a clip and then clicking an area after the clip.

Right! I've been using since Pro Tools since version V5 PC/Mac(much slower systems) over the past 20 years. Never encountered anything like this before. I'll be staying at 2022.7 for a bit longer!

I get this. It goes away if I switch to Bars Beats ruler instead of Min Sec.
