Pro tools setup menu crash

New to PRO TOOLS. When I select "Setup" on top menu, the software crashes. I've searched for this issue everywhere to identify the solution, yet, as Murphy's law applies, I appear to be the only one with this issue!!!!

Anyone on Windows PC experience this?

Not much info here for anybody to help you with.

Start at the Help Us Help you link up top of this page.

Try the following...

Trash prefs.

Uninstall and reinstall Pro Tools.

Post a Sandra report.

If nothing works there/is obvious in the Sandra report, you will probably be reinstalling a clean copy of Windows.

Uh and are you posting an issue about Pro Tools First or Pro Tools 12? if about First hopefully a moderator will move this thread to the right forum. But still try all the above.

Yeah, I was trying to write music with the software, not pilot a starship by adding new software to the mix. Can't be the only one with this crash and shouldn't require much to relate. Thanks for the effort though.

Hi MIKEIKE,

You got Pro Tools First?
Hold the N key down immediately after launching until the Playback Engine window opens to select your device.
