Question Playback is coming from Mac rather then Monitors

I've never run into this before in 3 years using my system. When I booted up yesterday, the audio was playing back through my Mac speakers and not my monitor speakers. I assume there is some I/O issue, but not sure how to correct any settings. Over the last week, I have been using my 003 rack connected to a MOTU 8 Pre, so I can record 16 tracks at once. All has worked fine on the recording and playback until now. Any ideas?

Sounds like pt9 defaulted to the aggregate audio device. Once you open a session go to your playback settings and switch it from the aggregate audio to the 003. It will have to reload the session but you should be good to go after that.

There is also a key you can hold when you launch pro tools that will allow you to select your audio device, but I'm not sure which one. N maybe?

Yup, the "N" key will do the trick and let you choose your device on startup
