I only get sound out of left side of headphones
I picked up for $3 a 1/8" to 1/4" headphone plug converter at Radio Shack for use in my MBOX2. They told me it was a stereo adapter. But I can only hear sound out of the left side -- whether I record in stereo or mono. Even if they lied and the plug was a mono converter, I'd still hear sound out of both sides, right? Any idea what the problem is?

Might be a broken one...
You can easily tell if the converter is mono or stereo. Stereo ones have 3 contacts (TRS - tip, ring, sleeve) and mono ones only have 2 (tip, sleeve)
