Duplicating/ copying regions
Hey
I have some problems when I copy or duplicate audio regions. There is a slight timing delay in the grid if I copy or duplicate multiple times. (I have checked that the regions starts and ends within the grid before copying). It is only visible if I zoom in all the way. I use a lot of audio tracks to create my beats and would like them in perfect grid. Have anyone the same experience -does anyone have a solution to this?? I do hope you can help me out, maybe I'm doing something wrong? Thank you -Joe (PT 7, G5 dual) |

Re: Duplicating/ copying regions
can you elaborate on the problem? this should not be happening, as you know. my guess is that the clip you've decided to duplicate is not exactly the same length as a bar (or 2 or whatever) which would keep displacing the duplication by the amount missing (or exceded by) the difference. i use this function quite often and have never experienced timing errors. are you duplicating in shuffle or grid mode?

Re: Duplicating/ copying regions
Thanks for the responce,
I've made sure that the region was exactly 2 bars long - I've edited it in the grid, dragged start/end ends. But when I copy multiple times to get the same track going for say 3-4 minutes, the regions move out of the grid. Only a few milli secs, but still quite anoying. I tried to do the same with midi tracks -no problems there. Maybe I am doing something wrong. -It should be pretty basic right? Create a 2-4 bars loop in the grid and then duplicate or copy, right? -Or is there an other way I don't know of?? Anyway thanks for your help - If someone have a tip, please let me know... Thank you -Joe |

Re: Duplicating/ copying regions
Read the Reference Guide about rounding errors -- to avoid this.. in Pro Tools 7.x use Region Loop
