PT11 Browsing presets without opening plugin window /tfx question

Noir on a Pro tools expert post noticed that on this at 3.20

you can see a new way of browsing presets in 11. Not seen mention of this before. Looks pretty useful.

I was wondering if anybody here knows about the .tfx PT preset format? Is this something that Avid allow access to - wondering if there was a way of converting AU presets to .tfx as looks like we could get alot more use out of them in the future., thinking about preset library conversion.
