Samplenet is back online! it\'s now totally worthless :-(
They've been offline since about february, promising new content, I check several times a week to see if it's back online yet because it did used to have some useful sounds on it.
They've not only left the completely lame way of finding sounds just as it was but they've not added much in the way of new stuff (most of it's dated '00 or '99) and to add insult to injury they've gone and converted the whole library to mp3 format so there's no raw WAV or AIFF audio at all. what a waste of time, does anyone know of any other sites with large amounts of free content, not loops from commerical releases or those fake samplesets that are just there to promote some sample CD company ? It's not like I havn't got a massive library of samples I've been collection for the past 8 years or so but more is better concidering a lot of my collection is lost now and I won't spend £50+ on sample CDs when I prefer programming stuff myself and only need multisamples for certain instruments. |

You may already be aware of these sites - I don't know how useful they will be to you but anyway:
(Perhaps someone else will find them useful) http://www.analoguesamples.com/ http://machines.hyperreal.org/samples.html Nocturnal |
