Long serial/Midi runs to HUI

I need to remote my HUI about 130 feet from my Pro Tools system. Does anyone have a solution to extend the Midi or serial lines this far? Standard mac serial won't hack it at this distance.

I own a HUI and sometimes i like to mix on another speaker set in anoher room for a while. So i made MIDI to XLR cables and use a 30 meter multicable (starquad, a good one) from my studio to the living and it works flawlessly.
How much meters is 130 feet? I'm just a stupid dutchman.
If it works it works, if it's not it's not.

I ran MIDI that far with no problems, for the mac ADB & monitor I used Geffen systems extenders, works great.

Peter, are you talking about Mac serial or ADB? ADB might not make it that far (although I haven't tried), but serial cables are designed to handle an AppleTalk network - i.e. you can run them around the block.

Fokke, a meter is just under a yard (3 feet), so 130 feet is about 43 meters.
