Default USB Memory Stick

I posted this in the Storage Forum, no replies so far........any advice..

"Hi just a quick (newbie kind) question....
I transfer tracks as wave files back and forth between another computer and mine regularly. Does anyone have an opinion on using those USB Memory Sticks as far as loss of quality,etc.....
I'm sick of plugging and unplugging my external hard drive all the time as it is awkward to access..
Any advice would be appreciated........Thanks."

A memory stick will work fine for transfering data, assuming it's large enough in capacity. As far as quality loss there is none, it is a digital medium.

I transfer with USB memory sticks all the time. I even recorded a session to one. I even use my ipod including recording to it. Not a problem.
