did you keep your old system running ?? if so, you could consolidate your tracks and bring them over ..

if not, have you tired "import session data" from an older session ?? i cannot remember if you can open those older files in PT12 ... but i have PT10 here and i know that will ... maybe i can help you get one open as a test if you need

cheers john

Protools 12 also comes with Protools 10, use 10 to get them ready for 12

And install PT10 before you install PT12.

Unless the old projects are done in SD II format, they should open(and then you would Save As to convert to the current file format)

You should just be able to open your .ptf sessions with PT 12. The first time you attempt to save, pro tools will force you to do a save as, and it will save the file as the newer .ptx format.

As mentioned earlier, unless you were using SD2 files, it should work ust fine. If I'm not mistaken, I believe PT8 already had the ability to create SD2 files removed, but it was still able to read them. You should be fine.
