No audio coming from my 003 rack!

hello all.

here is my problem. i was playing back a session when out of nowhere i lost all sound from my speakers(NHT's) and from both headphone jacks on my 003 rack. i have an api A2D going into my 003 rack and that is all. has anyone had this problem before? im not sure what to do but when i plug in my mbox mini i have audio so im assuming the problem is in the 003 rack....any ideas?

Have you rounded up the usual suspects?

(reboot, cycle power on the 003, try a new session, etc...)

yes i rebooted, unplugged all my gear, let it sit, it was the same in other sessions and now i just hooked up my mbox and my speakers work fine...so somewhere between the 003 rack and the api a2d, something is happening....is there a reset switch on the 003 rack maybe? could my spdf cable be bad? is there a fuse in the 003 rack that maybe messed up the monitoring system? im perplexed....

what is "cycle power on the 003"? what does that mean?

Are you saying it works when the A2D is not connected?

I don't know why the "front end" would keep you from hearing anything out the back..

cycle power = turn it off then on again...

no it doesnt work when the api is connected....i do have plugins in all my sessions but that has never been a problem before.....

The phrase "Has Never been a problem before, or it worked fine before" are pointless in DAW/Computer world... Hope u get my point... We're tryna help but if nothing is a problem then there is no help needed...

umm ok then yes i have plugins running. i have my mbox plugged in now and the session is fine....its just when i plug the 003 rack in a get no audio.

This doesn't answer my question specifically...

Does it work when the A2D is not connected???
You can see how that would point specifically at the A2d or its configuration in protools, right?
