mbox pro firewire prevents Mac startup
Hi, I can't seem to get past a fatal startup error on a brand new mac pro (Mountain Lion 10.8.3) with my mbox pro connected via the firewire port in the back of the mac pro. I have just installed Pro Tools 10.3.5, & the Jan 2013 mbox pro driver, so I"m pretty sure I'm current all around. If I power the mbox pro before starting my mac I get a long thread of code (noticed the word "kernel" near the end of said code) on the startup page and then it continually tries to restart itself with the same code result. If I try to power the mbox up after the mac has been started it instantly powers the mac down. For a while after that the mac wouldn't power up at all, until I unplugged everything and plugged it all back in. A bit terrifying.
Here are my specs:
Mac pro with 3.2 Ghz Quad-Core Intel Xeon processor, 12 GB RAM, OS 10.8.3. This is a brand new computer, brand new mbox, fresh install on everything. Looked for an mbox uninstaller, but couldn't find one. Heard I may have to do a fresh install of an older mac OS. Thanks for any help!
