Default TLM 103 Question

I don't know if anything changed in PT11, but I have been working on setting up my sound booth since I moved. I was getting audio that lacked highs. I tried everything, bu then I turned my mic around forward. Everything was good. Is the back of a condenser mic different from the front, or could I have a developing problem? Would anything have changed going from 32 to 64 bit?

I am just throwing stuff out there.

you were talking into the back of a cardioid mic, that would explain the lack of highs

The back and front will sound different on ANY cardioid microphone. Don't feel bad about that goof. I had a client bring me tracks to mix(FIX!!) where the vocal was recorded with the "most expensive mic that Blackbird has". Not only did they plug a vintage U47 into an Mbox(original, no less), but they tracked 5 songs while singing into the backside of the mic

Do yourself a favor and do some googling on microphone patterns as it is important stuff for any musician/engineer

The back of a cardioid will be dead(er).
Set it to Omni, it should sound the same on both sides.
