Does anyone know when macbook pro might be releasing its USB3 model?

Considering they just released a new model a few months ago, I think it will be a while. I wouldn't expect to see it on the Macs until you see it on a pretty decent chunk of peripherals. Then again, I didn't expect to see what they call a "mini display port" ever.

ok cool thanks guys. Man I can't believe the updated info on wikipedia. I never think to check it, and then someone posts a link to it with the answer on there!

Would I be silly to buy a macbook pro now? I mean, would I be able to resell it when the usb3 comes out, for decent money?

Based on the wikipedia info, USB3.0 sounds pretty stunning. Massive speed, dual data streams, and sync'd transfers(maybe more like firewire, could usb3 replace it???). Is it possible that this might be the death of firewire and a new more universal single type of connector across the board(while be backwards compatible?).

Sounds to good to be true..I wonder if Digi is already designing Mbox 3's with this technology? That would mean, more in's and out's..and higher sample rates along with lower buffer settings.

The big question would be..."What benefit will USB3 bring me? If your using a Digi USB interface they are all USB 1.0 so USB3 will be of no benefit for PT.
