Default sync issues with Pro Tools 7

Hi all. I've got a Roland Fantom X6 that I track to pro tools 7 but I haven't been able to sync it properly. I always find myself dragging and shifting my audio around in pro tools because the grid does not seem to match.

Any suggestions?

I really depends on what you are trying to do an how you are doing it.

One initial step is to set your buffer size to the lowest your pc can take it.

What do you know man, that did it. Thanks a lot. I've been breaking my head going back and forth from my Roland to Pro Tools. Now I don't miss the beginning of my audio when I press Rec. Thanks again

I thought I was done with this issues but I'm still having problems. Now the grid on Pro Tools doesn't line up. I'm using my Roland Fantom as a slave so when I press space to record on protools it triggers the Roland, now I don't lose none of the beginning of the audio anymore since I change the buffer size but as I look into it further the grid is not lining up?????

Thanks

try setting the roland's clock to external, and turning on midi beat clock in protools for the output that goes to the roland.
