Well, the orig MPTK did not work for me on my new Win7 64 bit PT8.0.4 build. Will have to suck it up and pay the 50 for version 2. I don't have any pals around here to give me the .dll s to make the old version work. Just a report..

I too am feeling your pain and bitched about it a few weeks back. You're absolutely correct, PT will not launch on Win 7 with orig MPTK installed. By the time you ad up Acronis, Adobe Illustrator, Sony Vegas, PT, etc, etc it ends up costing some change!

MPTK 2 is a $50 upgrade, the original will not work with Win7 and PT8.0.4, just curious though, sounds like you're spending too much money.

The upgrade isn't needed, if you can get someone to grant you access to the MPTK 2 download.
Some of us have direct links to that software, and would be willing to supply it to you via an email request

You bought an MPTK 2 at full price when you own an MPTK 1? You could have gotten the additional 2 plugs with the $49.00 upgrade.

I'd send the MPTK 2 back unopened for a refund.

I am waiting for the 003 Factory to come, it comes with the MPTK1, but from what I'm reading here I won't be able to install it on my Windows7 system. Won't I need the MPTK2 to start if MPTK1 is useless? I'm with you, and I agree with you, I'm just not sure how to get the 1 on the system to upgrade. Do I attempt to install the 1, and upon failure, upgrade to 2? Am I explaining myself? How can I upgrade something that I can't install? Running Windows7.
hey Jimibrix. if you haven't already pls check the link i posted in the 4th post in this thread. it goes into great discussion of how all this works. myself, ej, and others describe how to use the MPTK1 on W7. i think once you read it most of your questions will be answered...i think...
