Important Update to TL Space for VENUE

Hello everyone, this post is to announce the availability of TL Space 8.0 for VENUE systems. This new version stores the IR library files on the VENUE system’s User partition, rather than the System partition. This change protects the IR library files from being deleted during a system update or upgrade. Note that the full system “Restore" process still deletes everything, including the User partition and its contents; however, the system "Upgrade" option will now leave the IR library intact.

Avid recommends all TL Space users upgrade to version 8.0. We have also posted a new version of the IR library installer which installs the IR files to the User partition. If you have other custom IR files installed, you can exit to the Windows desktop and manually copy the files over or you can use the import menu within TL Space to reinstall them individually.

To manually copy the files, locate the desired files in this directory:

• (TL Space 7.x) - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Trillium Lane\TL Space\Impulse Responses

And move them to this directory:

• (TL Space 8.0) - D:\Trillium Lane\TL Space\Impulse Responses

* The IR Library installer is a .exe file that must be run from the desktop, Control-click the "Shutdown" button to exit to desktop.

Does TL Space IR Library for VENUE include all the other installers on the downloads page?
