Default Slate's 5th VMR module leaked - to be released "extremely soon"

Found on Gearslutz:

Musician's Friend inadvertently let the cat out of the bag via the following link: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/recor...h-mac-mini-v.4 for their complete recording studio package.

An image and description is provided.

Steven Slate's response?

And he's right. It is a beast. It sounds excellent, is VERY CPU efficient, and has very low latency.

These so called 'leaks' are orchestrated. SSD5 and now this. Gotta be staged.

Their public relations are always fire and ice: they get the word out but so often a bad taste is what's left. I wouldn't know if this was intentional but it wouldn't surprise me. I don't know that it matters though.

I'm jumping to PT11 (as much as possible - old sessions will still require 10) and FGX is the only common plug which remains to be ported. If they want to impress me they'll need to consider another avenue.

Ha!

It's only £657 in the UK (MSRP : £1466 - Your Savings : £809) which is a total bargain...

Unfortunately it also says "This item does not ship to the United Kingdom. Where does it ship?"...

The US, apparently. $999 here. Not necessarily a bad deal, but a few things are baffling to me... Like the fact that they're packing a USB 1.1 audio interface with it, and that they're shipping a Mac bundled with a PC keyboard.

OOOPS!!!

Sorry guys, I'm going blind in my soon to be 30 yrs old

The price was displayed in Swedish Kronor and it said 7.377 and i read it as dollars, My bad. Maybe it is a good deal. I never used any of the stuff included so can't comment on the quality but involving a USB 1 interface looks pretty dire to me ..

Anyhoooo Sorry for the misunderstanding

Chris

There are some obvious weak spots but it is amazing how much they've crammed in there for $999.
