I've never ever seen any Avid plugin go on sale. The only thing that they've done sometimes is limited time special offers where you buy a certain product and get certain plugins bundled. A recent example was when you bought the Eleven Rack or Mboxes and you got a few plugins free.

Most of these types of specials have been with their more expensive stuff, like HD systems or Icons, etc. The other examples would be when they had the various toolkits.

But I don't ever recall them actually just putting one on sale.

However, keep in mind that certain dealers do offer discounts off a lot of these plugins and products. They're not allowed to advertise them as such, but they can make deals.

Also, a lot of these show up on Ebay and on the forums, precisely because so many people got a lot of them in the aforementioned bundles and specials.

But in the case of the Pro plugins you're asking about, they are too new and have not been included yet in any bundles or specials, so it may be a while before we see them being sold second hand.

I've never seen them go on sale, but over time the prices get greatly reduced and/or get included for free in the shipping version of PT. There was a time when the native version of Dverb was $500.

I used to do searches for "cheap TDM" when I first got my HD system several years ago. Found some sellers on eBay selling inexpensive iLok licenses from bundles. Instant downloads for the most part with the "shipping" fee being the $25 for iLok transfer fee. Got a lot of $500 plugs for $100 or less ($25-$50 for more than a few). Got Space, ReVibe, ReverbOne, Tape Saturation, TelRay, the Voces, and the paid Bomb Factory comps plus several others that way. Saved tons of cash. Those days maybe gone but there are still some out there.

One of the major eBayers of plugs used the handle "dutchmuzik".

That guy (Paul) is now Audiodelux.com

His prices are good, but it appears he does not sell anything by Avid.

Regarding Revibe and some others, for several years they were the same. It was only recently with the change to AAX that they lowered the prices on some of their plugins. Because of the fact that they weren't needing to make 2 different versions (TDM and native), they re-priced them and sell them as one plugin that does both.

Avid products are sold by dealers and dealers do offer sales and discounts from time to time. As far as I know the Avid store only sells at full retail price so as to not undercut the dealers.
