"Verifying" stuck?

I had this issue on my home system and am now seeing it as I install 12.5 on the 3 computers at work. Download the 12.5 for Mac installer, downloads and then double-click, that gives me the standard verifying with a progress bar, that opens the packages for the program and drivers, etc. I double-click on the package icon and then get yet another verifying window, with a small house icon in the left corner. Waiting....waiting....waiting..nothing. I don't recall seeing this secondary verify window in previous installs. Any insights?

I just installed 12.5 last night and didn't have that issue. Are the systems at work on Yosemite?

I too cannot get the 12.5 installer to get past the verifying on a MacBook Pro running El Capitan. It installed fine on my main machine which is running Yosemite (HDX system) but the native one on the laptop is at a standstill. Waiting for an answer. Might have to use my tech support I'm not subscribing too.

Hey people,
Had the same problem. My OSX is in French so I changed it to english and it took maybe 30 seconds before the installer, well, installed its stuff. In French nothing was happening although some say it will eventually start but it takes very long to do so.

Well, what I found to work and it's a bit strange, but repeatable. I opened up the App Manager while waiting in vain for the verify to complete, I saw that there was a new version of said app and thought, 'why not', When I clicked to install, it triggered the download that I was waiting for, biff-bang-pow, done! I went through the same procedure with the HD driver as well and did the whole thing again and another computer. Remember, contents may settle in transit. I am not saying this is the key to yours or anyone else problems. This applies to me, it's a total Ripley's!

Thank you Mitch!! This absolutely did the trick. I thought about it earlier in the day when I saw the app manager update notice but didn't get around to it until now. Appreciate the help

Unfortunately the upgrade option does not appear in my App Manager.
Every time I have to upgrade or buy something in the Avid store I have a real bad time.

The application is still verifying after 2 hours.

This happened to me as well, I just copied the installer off my system drive over to another drive on my Mac Pro then it verified in a few seconds and I installed from there, hope that helps.

I'm going through the same issue with PT 12.5 being stuck when it is verifying (brand new iMac 3.3 GHz Intel Core i5). What is the "app manager" that previous posts have referenced? Also, Lance, can you be more specific how you solved the problem with your approach?

This is incredibly frustrating. I have lots of audio work to be done and now way to do it right now!
