Default analog inputs 5-8 on 002r

are the analog inputs on the 002r especially weak. does anyone here plug synths directly into these inputs. i have the outs of my triton hooked up to analog ins 5-8 of my 002r and i cant get a good rec level. its loud and i hear it just fine, just not good levels do i just need a pre amp? im not sure if there is something wrong with my triton.thanx for any help...

In Hardware Setup, set your inputs (the ones being fed by the Triton) to '-10 unbalanced', that should take care of it.

There are switches on the back of the 002R that allow you to switch between -10 and +4. Make sure they are set to -10 for all your synth inputs.

the triton is balanced, and im using balanced cables. wouldnt it make more sence to used balanced(+4)? anyways i put it on -10 and it did make it the level better. im confused, you think you know something, then!~!~!!

Yes, but as most synth outputs are unbalanced, we told you otherwise. Adjust the input trim until you get a nice yellow meter.
