Studio monitors
Hi.
I finally found some small amount of money to invest in a pair of monitors for my small home studio. After doing some recearch, reading and listening, it seems to me that M Audio BX5 are a very good acquisition for my setup. Link: http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=...64e509a317579a Any comments? |

Re: Studio monitors
I agree with the Alesis mk2 recommendation. Bought a pair a couple of weeks ago and they are very clear and true. Great monitors!

Re: Studio monitors
I recently bought a pair of M1 Active MkII's, and my mixes have translated MUCH better than prior to plugging them into my 002. If you are operating on a limited budget, I recommend them. Although for an extra $100 USD, you can get a pair of Event TR-8N's. I have often wondered ...

Re: Studio monitors
I own the M-Audio Studiophile BX5s and have for a while. They're very impressive speakers, no doubt, as far as clarity, imaging, and sound stage. I am quite pleased with them, though I'm beginning to tire of the way my mixes don't always translate as well as I'd like. Don't get me wrong—they translate damn well—but not as well as the mixes I've done on buddies' Alesis M1 Active MkIIs. It's for this reason that I'm thinking of trading in my BX5s and snagging a pair of M1s.
