PTLE 6.5.3 (Avid Studio Mbox) - RAID Problem
I'm having lots of BSOD moments with PTLE 6.5.3 and trying to narrow down what the fault might be.
System is Tyan Thunder s2665 (i7505 chipset) with dual xeon 2.8, 2gb ram, 1 80gb disk and 2x250gb SATA drives on adaptec 1210SA (Raid 0). Nvidia FX5700. Win XP SP2 I've read that PTLE doesn't like RAID drives but does this mean it can't work with them in a system or just not read/write them (it won't use anything other than the C drive at the moment). If the RAID is causing the problem is it possible to use the card in JBOD mode to get round the issue? As the mb doesn't take SATA drives without an add-in card will I have to splash out on a plain controller card eg Adaptec SATAConnect 1205SA to get PTLE to play ball? |
