Default terminology - attentioned/selected

i have been using my 2xs1s and a dock for years now and i can say i have a pretty advanced programming/setup going on.

All knobs are custom programmed and doing everything i want in cubase and even controlling my UAD console faders, plugin parameters etc with s1 if i want to...bragging...i am the king when it comes to cubase and avid controllers :)

Though to this day "attentioned" track...does not mean a thing to me beside getting me confused every time i see it.

Can someone put it together in a really really simple way? thanks.

Consider an Attentioned track like one soldier standing at attention while the group of soldiers are at ease.

Selected means one or several of your soldiers are selected to “move forward”

An Attentiioned track on the surface brings any available plug-in inserted on that track or Aux to the available knobs and or faders depending i which surface you’re working on. You can only attention one track at a time. You can Select multiple tracks

Certain preferences determine whether or not a selected track is automatically attentioned. You can also attention a track without selecting it in Pro Tools.

Lots of available combinations and options.

Attention is a single track across all connected EUCON surfaces. It's a EUCON feature not DAW.

Select is one or many and it's a DAW feature.

An important part of the equation. Thanks Eddie.
