Motherboard suggestions? (Intel Socket 775 - Asus P5B Replacement)

Hello guys,
I had a power surge this week and my motherboard got fried, so now I need to get a replacement. I had an ASUS P5B (See specs here), and I'd love to get back the same motherboard, since my system was running smoothly and I was fine with it. However, I can't find the P5B in stock anywhere, so I'll have to get something similar (Intel socket 775) that will allow me to use all the stuff I had in the P5B (unless you know where I can buy a P5B).
Which motherboard do you guys recommend?

It might be hard to find DDR2 boards these days, so you might need to swap the RAM as well. P45 boards are hard to find.

This P45 Giagabyte DDR3 775 board on newegg is the only one I think might work, and I'm not sure how well.

If it was me, I'd use the surge as an excuse to upgrade to an i7 for the PT system.

Get some super cheap board + 1TB drive + Case for the old 775 and use it as a gaming/HTPC machine. Thats what I did with my old Q6600, only I had no surge ;-0

I was really hoping to keep the RAM I already have, but if I must swap them out, then so be it.
I was looking at that gigabyte board earlier, and I did a search of the forum, but it didn't show up anywhere...
Do any of you guys know of any successful builds with that particular board? Or if not, do you guys have any other board suggestions?
I'd hate to be running an experiment with one if there's a board that's proven to be more stable with PT.

That board is a newer version Gigabyte made of a P45 775 board. Its unlikely that anyone will post a new build using it since the 775 is dated. If you go ahead with that option you will be the first confirmed build.

Forgive me for being cautious... I just REAAALLLY hate dealing with down time and system instability (especially coming from a rock-solid sytem).

On another note... All this talk about re-building my system got me thinking... I'll use this Core 2 Quad system as my backup system when I get the parts above, and I'll just build a new i7 system to be the main system for my 003 while I'm at this.
