Video engine in 22.5 and 22.6

I also had a lot of problems with BM hardware. Video engine errors non-stop.
I recently updated OS to 12.5.1 and re-install the BM driver 12.4 and immediately video engine error/crash/restart in order to work again.
Then I decide to go lower with BM drivers and installed version 12.3 of Blackmagic Desktop Video.
Since then everything behave as it use to be, two days of serious post production work with video (Pro Res) and not a single error.

Yip Lots of that with Prores and MXF DNXHD- also with all formats- If I select a clip and hit play - it will freeze the video before the end of the clip and give me a "The Video Engine reported an unknown error." message. This happens across all systems - M1 and Intel and with or without AJA video out. I had better playback on Pro Tools v5 with a DV codec!

Probably an old hat for most here, but my video issues completely disapeared since disabling the "enable GPU" function.

I'm happy to report that after two weeks of at least 5-10 VE crashes per day I have had zero for the last 2 days after turning GPU off. No noticeable additional CPU hit by the way. Fingers crossed it stays this way.

How's your setup working now Frank?

Out of the blue I'm getting tons of video engine errors. Enabling or disabling GPU doesn't matter. Changing any video related setting doesn't matter. Especially on looping I'm getting 'video engine is unable to stop' errors.
