Speaker arrays, Room EQ and PC support seem to be the main additional features offered by DAMS. They seem to work exactly the same other than that, on separate machines, the same machine, using Dolby Remote. It all seems identical. There is also an added layer of support for DAMS by dealers, which is why they grill you over setup specifics when you buy it.


I feel like a lot of the marketing blurb for these dedicated apps are quite dated. A lot has changed over the last 5 years or so, particularly with the recent inclusion of AUX I/O. The lack of DAB for Windows really seems to be the only thing standing in the way of DAPS and DAMS amalgamating into a single app in 2022.
