PT 2021.10 and instability
So since updating, lots of things have become unstable. Sometimes opening a plugin window, notably Soundtoys’ Sta-Level clone and Kontakt, crashes ProTools now. And if it sits on unattended for too long, it has to be forced to quit or at worst the machine has to be shut down. What gives? Mojave, 2013 Mac Pro, HDX.

I have a similar computer running same PT and Big Sur and it's pretty darn solid. only the very occasional crash, which I'm pretty certain is related to my Raven.

I am on a 2013 Mac Pro with Mojave as well and 2021.10 is slow to load sessions, CPU is overloading easily and having some hangs and crashes on certain plugins. I am wondering if its OS related since Mojave is the oldest OS supported. 2021.7 works fine.

Are you HDX users in Hybrid or non-Hybrid?
I'm in Mojave with 2021.10 and non Hybrid is super slow but Hybrid is fairly stable. 2010 Mac Pro HDX, RX580 video card

I'm still on High Sierra so I can't complain as it's not supported. I can say that 2021.10 with HDX running non-hybrid is a bit funky. Tracks all of a sudden slip out of time causing a reboot.
Not going to bother with upgrading to a metal vid card but am anxiously awaiting a new Apple PowerMac with PT and plugs running smoothly. Probably will not make sense for me to load any new PT versions on this machine. Still works though for the most part. Hopefully this time next year I'm on a new system. C
