Default I need help running a test. *DELETED*

Anyone using Pro Tools TDM 7 and Waves TDM C4 compressor? Please; a 5 minute test is all I'm asking for. You will either get distortion or not. We really need to know if this is an isolated incident or not. Thanks!!!

If you are getting that type of distortion on so many tracks I'd definitely contact Waves AND Digi and submit a report to them and tell them what's happening to you. Are you using a control surface too, or do you have unique wiring scheme or perhaps spdif or adat sync connected for the other 8 channels? How are the other channels wired? Are they set up the same in your I/O setup?

Unfortunately, It appears, that no one out there has either read your post and tried to help, but I doubt if that's a problem with the plug-in or PT. I don't have a C4, sorry so i'm just throwing out things hoping I hit something that you might be able to do to fix the problem. We would have seen something like this o nthe DUC many times most likely. Plus, most people don't put a comp like that on so many tracks. Do you have groups of vocals or guitars, for example that you could buss them to that comp? Sorry, I have no idea what you are trying to do with so many comps. Maybe you could elaborate a bit more? If it's only happening on the last eight tracks (sorry I don't remember what the original post said, I will take a look after I submit this) my guess is that it has to do with the connectivity there. Have you tried eliminating those particular tracks and quitting PT, and then making 8 new ones, and then putting the audio and comps back in? that has worked for me before.

We are only putting the C4 on all tracks because that is the quickest way to cause the distortion. (It simulates what would happen with multiple TDM plug-ins across multiple tracks) It is a way to duplicate the problem quickly on a new session. I am working with Waves and Digidesign and that is why I put up this post to find out if this is an isolated incident with my computer or if others would have the same problem if they tested it on their machines. I wasn't very clear on that in my original post. Thanks for your input.

Anyone else give it a try? We have one yes (ME) and one no. (Rob) (Thanks Rob for checking)

Thanks!

Ran the test, but no distortion. I tried it with 15 stereo tracks and then with 15 mono tracks, but still nothing.

Cheers,
