Default Beta update?

Has Avid announced somewhere how regularly the beta will be updated?

I was hoping that it would get some kind of update every month, given that there are chunks missing (like the score editor, which I can't live without).
I didn't see anything with the release but given how few Avid employees haunt these forums, I wondered if they'd said anything on TikTok or in the metaverse, or wherever the kids are these days?

I would expect no updates. My best guess is full support in 2023.03 or not in too distant future.

There must be new betas made available as substantial bugs are ironed out, so that testing can move forward. For Avid not to do that would be odd.

Avid partners surely get refreshes but us mere mortals will (likely) not.

My recollection is they said the public beta was mainly due to the apple silicon support and would not be a regular thing going forward..?

Are updates even necessary? I've been using Native a fair bit and haven't come across any issues.

edit: strike that. I know of an issue that's 100% in need of an update. When trying to import audio from a ProRes video yesterday I was completely unable to do so. I tried importing the video and bringing that audio with it and that didn't work. I tried the separate Import Audio function and that didn't work. I had no way of getting to the AAC audio within that MOV file. I had to open PT in Rosetta mode and then it worked just fine.

No question. Even though I haven't participated in calling out bugs (isn't that on avid link somewhere.. Not sure haven't had a minute too busy) If I recall when I was a tester back in the PT 6.X days they'd always be releasing new beta builds. Just thoughts, kinda weird we haven't received new builds seeing it's a beta.

Enjoy,

Len

Public beta.
I’m sure there are private betas that are being worked on.
Consider the public beta as an appeasement to Avid investors and to put off the complaints against Avid about not having a native AS release yet.
It’s marketing.

AIR plugins and instruments currently bundled with Pro Tools
Not all third-party plugins are supported yet—see here for the supported list
Cloud Collaboration and Projects
ICON, C24, and Command 8 control surfaces will not be supported
X-Form Audio Suite and algorithm in Elastic Audio
ReWire support
MP3 Export (Bounce and Export Clips as Files)
AAC Import
Score Editor
Chord Extraction
Full qualification on all systems/configurations"

So, I personally would like to see the score editor working and I'd prefer that it didn't come in March, only to be buggy and get a fix in June, or Sept if they're too busy. I'm sure something similar can be said for other people and other functions.
