Default Avid S3L not turning on.

Hi!
We turned E3 on console on, waited half an hour and screen was stuck on purple AVID logo. We force turned it off and nothing happend. Third time Avid finally started working. Same problem occured the last time we tried to turn it on. What can we do? Avid was bought 2014

Probably need to change the BIOS battery. Small disc battery that is under the HDX card in the E3 engine.

Indeed, those batteries rarely last more than 5-6 years so I agree its a good guess. While you're inside the unit, I would reseat all cards and connectors too. Let us know

AFAIR the first screen with Avid logo is BIOS screen (only black and purple) and then goes VENUE startup screen (full-color stuff). If you're stuck at the first screen, then try entering BIOS (either Del or F2 or F5 - just try typical things). Could be battery, could be BIOS settings (because of battery), could be HDD dead. You can also try using F10 to boot from USB - if that tries to work, then BIOS is ok and the problem is with HDD or its contents. If so, try restoring the system.
