Which model intel Mac pro is the most reliable on a PE6R4
Hi guys,
I'm moving my HD to a PE6R4 Magma chassis and a Mac Pro Intel. I was wondering if some peps could let me know which models were most trouble free for compatibility. Thanks .

I know the concensus was that the 8-Core 2.8 gHz 'Harpertown' was a great match with the chassis. Mine has been running great, with no chassis related problems. I think the current Nehalem machines are just as stable.

Hi,
Don't think there's any difference from any intel mac from 2008 or 2009 Lots of users on Harpertown models and a lot on Nehalem as well. My harpertown has been fine with the pe6r4

Using the first special order (Clovertown) 8 core 3.0 ghz with the magma and it works great.

2008 Harpertown 3.2 Gig with a PE6R4 that I modded to PE6R4i specs. All lovely and cozy.

Using a Mac Pro 2.26 Nehalem 8 core with the PE6R4I on 2 systems. ROCK SOLID and Fast ! Couldn't be happier!
