track meters are delayed compared to audio

Title of thread says it all. My track meters appear to be delayed from the audio coming out of the master bus. Master seems in time but the track meters are not. Not a deal breaker but annoying.

Many people have reported GUI lagginess with Protools 2021.6 on a Mac. Most are using Big Sur. Those with the newer M1 based Macs are having a horrible time with beachballs and UI freezes for 20-30 seconds. Several folks have moved back to 2021.3.1 and reported a smoother UI response.

Question: Your post says "PT 2021.6.1" but AFAIK the latest version out now is 2021.6.0. Is that a typo or do you have a version that the public does not get?

sorry was looking at AVID link. PT is 2021.6

You can try a full uninstall following these instructions:

Then try reinstalling. This worked for me. Some others it did not resolve the issue, but it resolved mine.

Hi I have experienced the same thing while not having delay compesation switced on.

Also as mentioned in this thread I have had same ishuse with slow UI, beachballs and delays up to 20 seconds while using 2021.6. Tried a lot. Reinstal, turned wifi of, All different tweaks with buffer and features on of and so on. Plugins on and off. But have not managed to find a solution. Nok I,m back on 2021.3.1 and it`s like comming home

Hope there will be a fix in the future as I would love to have the new features.
